BusyCal 1.5 Releases

BusyCal 1.5 is now out officially supporting MobileMe’s CalDav protocol letting users once again use BusyCal with their MobileMe calendars. I’ve been using the beta for several months and approve. Some would argue BusyCal’s utility is diminished with MobileMe now including calendar sharing. I don’t see it that way. BusyCal still has the most reliable Google Calendar sync I’ve used and it is just better than iCal with features that will never make it off the whiteboard in Cupertino.

Well, there are those of us who use Gmail to be able to have mail synchronized everywhere and so BusyCal's Google Calendar sync enables us to avoid MobileMe altogether... For us, MobileMe would have to undertake some much bigger improvements before it would become worthwhile.

Would you do a review on BusyCal ? I downloaded the trial version - I don't see how this is better than the ICal app - except for the fancy weather, notes ... just wondering where the advantages. Especially, if I am using Omni Focus for task management how does this work in your workflow? Thanks,

Your opinion is just the opposite of mine. Nothing personal.

I just checked out BusyCal and overall thought that it was a dramatic improvement on iCal. Unfortunately, the lack of Exchange support means that it is virtually useless to me for abou 60% of my appointment creation. I don't think I can justify the cost if I have to keep going back to iCal to actually do the tasks for my exchange account. It is a shame because I really wanted it to work.
