Coming Up for Air

harry

My geekiness doesn't end at the Apple Store.

A few years ago I picked up the first Harry Potter book to just see what all the fuss was about and perfectly ready to dismiss the children's books as so much pulp fiction. Well I got hooked in the first chapter and a few weeks later I had read all of the published books at that time (which was the first four). So I found myself in the local supermarket friday night at midnight with a few other of the Potter faithful lining up to buy my copy of book 7 Friday night. I planned on taking my time reading it but there are so many Potter fans in my life along with that thing they call the internet and I was afraid it would get spoiled. This fear combined with my inability to put the damn thing down led to me finishing it today. I am very pleased that several of my guesses about what would happen came true but I can't say any more. I don't want to spoil it for anyone. If you finished it and want to geek out on HP, send me a note.

Hi, David, Alisa's next door neighbor here. She just gave me your website..love it...I wish I understood it better cuz I think I could learn a lot about all things Apple. I will go slow and explore a little. I thought I would comment on the Harry Potter madness. Loved it and I was there at the store at midnight laying my money down and I read it in one long day. I didn't want anyone to ruin it for me, either. Jeanelle and I had a bet going about certain developments. Sam and Sara listened to us discuss things when they were here. I got the feeling Sam thought we were a little crazy. Jeanelle paid up today with lunch! Anyway, it was a great great ride, loved the books, the characters, the humor, the millions of details that made this series so special. Now what? I look forward to reading more at macsparky!

You know EB, (I'll let you figure it out but knowing your history with initial guessing...cough RAB... you will have no problem), I'm going to miss reading for fun because I'm back to textbooks in a while. Did Sam like the first one? Also kudos on your site its preetty sweet.
